Buried Secrets by Sheri Lewis Wohl is a novel for those who love murder mysteries mixed with romance between two lovely and mature ladies. Add in a touch of the paranormal and a human remains detection dog named Tripper, and you have a quintessential Sheri Lewis Wohl novel.
Fans of this author will recognize her style immediately. There is the evil protagonist, the flawed yet kind, and beautiful, heroines who must work together to stop the killer, and of course the very intelligent K9 service dog. Wohl also sets this story in an area she loves to write about, rural Washington State.
I figured out who the killer is right away. The author doesn’t try to keep that a secret. In fact, you will often be inside the killer’s head, hearing their thoughts. The questions that must be solved with this murder isn’t so much a whodunnit, but more what, when, where, and how. Some of those answers could be deadly for Tuesday and Addie, the two main characters.
I enjoyed reading this thrilling mystery. If you like your novels to keep you on the edge of your seat and with a touch of paranormal, then try Buried Secrets.
